GTA III, re3 and the correct city
The WASM Arcade page identifies Grand Theft Auto III through the re3 engine. That is a different route from Vice City through reVC. Both are single-player projects with separate settings and progress. A search for GTA 3 play online can mean playing through a website; it does not establish an online multiplayer service. This guide links the current project page, not a GTA V streaming offer or a replacement for the game publisher’s own products.
The launch page and the game menu are separate
Open the original GTA III page and use Play GTA III. The host describes streamed assets and browser storage, so first preparation still needs network access and time. Its Fullscreen button changes the display size; audio or mouse input may need another click inside the game. If a progress message advances, let it finish instead of reopening the same route. The host restricts cross-site frames, which is why this guide uses an original-tab link.
On-foot and vehicle controls
The destination lists WASD or arrows for movement and steering, left mouse or Left Ctrl for attacking, and gamepad mappings in its control table. On foot and in a vehicle, the meaning of a key can change. Read the complete current table before remapping. A browser page that has focus on its search box or toolbar will not send those keys to the game. If Escape releases the pointer, click the scene again when you are ready to continue.
Browser data and save backups
The portal describes Origin Private File System asset storage and a separate save-backup feature. Treat downloaded assets and game progress as separate records. Use its current Saves panel to inspect import and export options before clearing browser data or changing profiles. A favourite on RadiantGames does not back up a Liberty City save. Nor should a Vice City save be assumed compatible just because both pages are listed in the same GTA collection.
Choose the next GTA route by version
Vice City has a different city, reVC engine and source page. A separate legacy Vice City project asks for a compatible game.tar.gz from an owned copy; do not mistake those requirements for the hosted WASM route. On October 16 the portal’s GTA V page reported Offline, so it is not listed as a verified playable alternative. Compare the version notes before downloading or importing anything, or choose an Uplink demo or QuakeWorld arena for a different first-load experience.
